Intravenous (IV)
IV therapy is the most efficient therapy and delivers medication using your veins directly into the bloodstream. This method often ideal because it bypasses your digestive system which allows us to medicate the targeted areas more accurately.
Subcutaneous
In subcutaneous injections, the medication is injected into your body’s fatty layer, just below the skin. This area has fewer blood vessels and therefore is ideal for medications that need to be slowly released into the body.
Intramuscular
With Intramuscular injections, as the name suggests, the medication is injected directly into the muscle tissue. These injections are ideal for medications too harsh to be introduced via the veins but still requiring rapid absorption into the bloodstream. This method is also ideal for patients with poor vein access.
